This was an experiment from start to finish. I've been saving this beautiful chrome paper for something special. As light reflects off the surface, colors shifts dramatically making it unusually vibrant like a sunset. I wanted to transform the raw textures and motion of spraypaint into a new medium.
This is not your average spraypaint scrawl, but glowing, illuminated, almost staring back at you. Not a graffiti tag connected to a letter base, but elemental, stripped free from set letter pathways. This led me to practice abstract one-lined scrawls with one try each time. It wasn't until I spraypainted directly on acetate film did I come to the inspiration for this print. After doing this repetitively it forced me to strip things down revealing new pathways and patterns. This process pushed me to acknowledge my intentions within it.
