Considering the headlines on current events, healthcare is at the center of the discussion. Especially after my response from a previous post on Instagram in regards to my experience with Fox News back in 2010 I was driven to paint a new flag for 2025.

I struggled with the title so as an experiment, I asked AI to give me a interpretation of this painting with the title and this is part of it's response:

This piece, Deny, Defend, Dispose, reflects my personal experience and the collective struggle of countless others navigating years without access to adequate healthcare. The clean blue field of stars represents the ideals we are taught to believe in—freedom, equity, and care for all—but the chaotic, distorted stripes tell a different story. They symbolize the pain, fear, and confusion that come with being trapped in a system that prioritizes profit over human lives.

The title reflects the cruel reality: necessary care is denied, life-saving treatments are delayed, and those who can’t afford to keep up are disposed of—treated as if their lives don’t matter. Living without access to healthcare creates an environment of relentless anxiety and trauma. Every decision feels like a gamble between financial ruin and survival. The fear of an untreated illness, the endless calls to insurance companies, the helplessness of watching loved ones suffer—it all builds up over time, leaving scars that go far beyond the body.
