I originally set on a mission inside this dilapidated mega structure to possibly find some sort of artifacts most importantly any significant blueprints. Crews are painting and sandblasting the graffiti off the Towers in preparation for the 2028 Olympics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis inspired me to create this last series \"GRAFFITI TOWERS BUFFED RIP\". This series are all each original mixed media paintings with the blueprints silkscreen over the buff. This contrast between the bright expressive tags and the lifeless grey buff emerging up from underneath the Towers Blueprint helps demonstrate that conflict between boiling over creative expression and the failures of unchecked predatory capitalism. These pieces of art are markers in time to the historical event that captured the worlds attention from here in LA. My home front.
